The Origin

What originated as a natural body care hobby and an academic supplement for a dedicated African-American Biochemistry and Nutrition Sciences college student, Brandon, soon evolved into a powerful mission. The transformative journey began with a pivotal phone call from his mother, a call filled with distress and concern. She shared the heartbreaking news that she had lost a significant portion of her hair, a consequence of poor hair installation practices. The worry in her voice struck a chord in Brandon. As he listened to his mother’s story, he realized the immense need for effective natural body care products tailored specifically to the needs of African-Americans, products not readily available on store shelves.
Within a month of that fateful night, Brandon crafted the first prototype of a product aimed at addressing his mother’s hair issue. Miraculously, within just two months, his mother began to notice signs of healthy hair regrowth. The potential of his creation became apparent. After nine months of consistent use, she joyfully exclaimed, “My hair is healthier and longer than it has ever been before.” Brandon was thrilled by the remarkable results his product had delivered, but what truly ignited the spark was witnessing the joy and confidence it brought his mother. It was that very seed of happiness and transformation that inspired him to transform his once-humble hobby into a thriving business.
This seed has grown and continues to flourish, giving rise to Origin of Greatness.
Origin of Greatness is a Black-owned business, passionately dedicated to crafting all-natural products that not only cater to the unique physical needs of Black consumers but also instill a profound sense of recognition and pride within the Black community through culturally identifiable product packaging. Our commitment is rooted in the formulation of natural body care products, diligently avoiding the use of any harmful preservatives, fillers, fragrances, or other detrimental chemical additives. We approach our creations from a biochemical and nutritional perspective, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and well-being.
